Yes I think this should be the case in general. Sun does have the
largest share of the workstation market. While a lot of those
workstations don't have SGI graphics performance, the raw compute power
can always be put to good use. I have better access to Sun workstations
than SGI workstations (like 1 SGI per 500 suns ...) I've been thinking
about buying lightwave for a workstation, and given a choice I'd rather
have it for the Sun.
